Echoing Body Tumbling Still
This giant tumbling sculpture in the shape of an egg is part of an ongoing investigation into bodily experience and its collaboration with the mind. You can experience the perception of safety and at the same time feel that you are in danger because of the tumbling movement. This tension is what I want to explore with this interactive sculpture.
This work was on show in Amsterdam during This Art Fair 2022, Theater Bellevue in Amsterdam in the winter of 2023 and at CODA Museum in 2024.
For CODA Museum I made a soundscape playing inside the egg of alternating heartbeats going from slow to fast by rest and exertion.
